Anguilla, British West Indies

TripTimmy Visits: 2

*Denotes TripTimmy Favorite

Best time to go: December - May
Cheapest time to go: May - August

Why Go:

Hanging out on the beach during the day and being a foodie at night. Anguilla boasts some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean. That's what Anguilla is all about.

Accommodations:

*Four Seasons: Beautiful, stylish, overlooks Meads Bay & Barnes Bay = Awesome.

Restaurants/Bars:

*Blanchard's: top on the island & maybe the Caribbean

*Blanchard's Beach Shack: stop here for a quick bite on the beach

*Mango's Seaside Grill: they mean it when they say seaside, worth the trip

*Straw Hat: excellent choice for an evening overlooking Meads Bay

*Picante: best seafood enchiladas & Mexican corn I've ever had...seriously

*Bankie Banx's Dune Preserve: eclectic music venue on the beach, a must visit

Things to Do:

*Catch some live music at the Dune Preserve

*Chill on the beach

*Bar hop around the bars in Sandy Ground

*Charter a boat out to Prickly Pear Cays

*Enjoy the many wonderful restaurants

Craft Beer Scene:

Not much here...go for the Caribbean beers: Carib, Presidente, Red Stripe, Corona. Otherwise, rum is your next option...not that there is anything wrong with that.

TripTimmy Travel Tips:

Fly into St Martin and ferry (20 minutes) over to the island.
